This is a complete Rostra cruise control kit for the 2001-2008 Ford Escape. Applicable to automatic and manual transmission vehicles. Kit includes vehicle specific wiring information as well as universal installation instructions. Cruise control switch mounts on plastic shroud that surrounds steering column. If you have a 2008 Escape, make sure you have a throttle cable attatched to the gas pedal, and not an electronic throttle. For electronic throttle models you will require the 250-1847 kit . Works great, but bad info in manual
I installed this in a reasonable amount of time but it wouldn't work at all. Tech was helpful but couldn't isolate my problem during the initial call because I had no one to help on my end. After doing a little research with a wiring diagram from my 2007 Escape's manual, and the Rostra help site, I found the VSS information included with the kit was wrong. I later told the Cruise Control Store so that they could fix the error. After I attached to the proper wire the controller work great.
