250-9642 2014-2021 Dodge Ram Promaster Cruise Control

After a thorough review of the instructions and a patient planning of wire routing and locating the “ green & brown wires” that needed soldering “the install went perfectly and the cruise works perfectly.. Just completed a Dallas to Pittsburgh to Chicago road trip and the Rostra Cruise is well worth the $$ - Right Foot Approved !!

It works great other than it does accelerate really hard at times. I do need to get my camshiftor sensor fixed so that may be part of the problem. Otherwise, it’s a life saver when you have to drive 12 hours in a day!

Was excited to find this aftermarket Item to add cruise to my 2020 Ram Promaster. First the Pros: Price was reasonable, and the shipping was relatively quick. Customer support was very quick to respond with assistance when needed but I had to wait two days until they were available. Now the Cons: The directions are anything but step by step, and very vague at best. I suggest you watch a Youtube video for installation purposes as they are much more informative. I had issues getting this unit to actually work, but once I spoke with support, they pointed me in the right direction so I thank them for that. What I do notice about the operation is at a lower speed, say 25-30 MPH there is a surging and then backing off sensation which does not seem present at highway speeds. This is a non issue for me because I will only use it while on the highway. Lastly, it seems that customer support should be available on weekends as this is the time when most installations occur in my opinion. To have to wait one or two days to finish an install is very inconvenient. Most of this is plug and play with three wires needing to be soldered. very easy to do once you know which wires your soldering to. All in all, I would have given this 5 stars if I could have reached someone on Saturday for assistance, and if the directions were much more detailed.

Fairly easy to install. Very happy with the result. Used it the next day to drive from Tennessee to Colorado without issue.
