This is a 100% complete Rostra cruise control kit for the 1996-2004 Mazda Protege. Kit comes with Vehicle specific wiring information as well as universal installation instructions. This kit requires experience with cruise control installation. Not recommended for the beginner. 3 year warranty on parts only. Works with automatic & manual tranmsission models. Works great - and great support too!
I bought the Rostra Cruise Control Kit for my '99 Mazda Miata. Even before my purchase I exchanged several emails with Michael Fox with lots of questions and he was very helpful. While the unit I bought was listed as for a Protege, he assured me it was the same as a Miata. I had the installation done by my local mechanic and he told me it's a quality unit with everything needed for the installation. (He did fabricate an additional bracket, but that's just the kind of mechanic he is ;-) ) After the initial calibration it has worked perfectly! And yes, I have noticed a slight increase in fuel mileage, though that's not really why I bought it. Looking forward to the Interstate portions of future road trips being a lot more pleasant. I'll be more rested for the twisties the Miata loves so much! :D
